It's All About The Tourmaline.. December 7, 2010

I just bought the Cortex ceramic tourmaline flat iron and I love it!! Having Dominican coarse hair, I have to have a flat iron that stands up to the unruliness in the mornings. Cortex has never failed me. It's all about the "Tourmaline" on the iron that glides through the hair leaving you hair silky, smooth and shiny! day after day! My hair stylist uses a GHD flat iron and it's not the same, TRUST! I bought one, thinking it would do the job because it's more expensive but I couldn't convince myself. I returned it to Flat Iron Experts, in exchange for an upgrade to my Cortex iron. This product has a heat indicator that allows you to adjust the heat to your comfort. Cortex keeps getting the great reviews for a reason.. just buy and see for yourself. You will not be disappointed. The purchase is an investment for great looking hair!

Awesome flat iron July 22, 2010

I loved this flat iron. I owned it for two years before someone smashed the plug and I could no longer use it. My hair is natural somewhat kinky. I could always get my hair silky straight with this flat iron without burning it. The flat iron was reasonably priced. The only thing I didn't like so much was that the ceramic on the plates can scratch off in time. However for the price...for the workmanship and for the product itself, it is a great flat iron. I really would recommend the product.

I'm in my mid forties, and I've always been afraid of flat irons. I recently went to the salon, and the hairdresser straightened my hair. I liked it so much, that I decided to try one, but I wanted the best because I wanted to minimize damage to my hair. I've been using the Cortex for a few weeks now, and my hair feels good. It's shiny, and the iron is easy to use. I can't compare it to other irons since I've never use others, but I'm very happy with this one.

I bought the Cortex last years and it still works great!! It still leaves my hair straight and shiny all day and always leaves it feeling silky! Although it may take longer to heat up than when I first bought, it still takes no time to straighten my thick, wavy, frizzy hair! This flat iron is a godsend!!

I'm really pleased with this Cortex flat iron..haven't used any others though, so my knowledge is limited. However, it does what it promised to do, and is very easy to use. It's worth the price.
