Let me begin by saying I have hair that will not hold a curl. I used to curl with a regular clip curling iron and by the end of the day my hair would barely be wavy and that is after using a ton of hairspray. Since buying this curling iron I have been able to make it 3 days with curls and I haven't used a spritz of hairspray. Day 1 is curly, Day 2 culrlyish, Day 3 gorgeous waves. It does take some getting used to, but once I figured it out I was able to curl my whole head of long hair in about 10-15 minutes. I did burn my neck in the process of learning how to use it, but now, I just wrap a small towel around my neck and secure it with a clip. No neck burns and gorgeous hair. I just love love love this curling iron!!!

I have straight hair and it never stays curled. I saw this Amika curling wand at the mall and knew I could get a better price at folica.com so I ordered one in pink. This is by far the best curing wand I have ever used. I was worried I wouldn't be able to figure out how to use it at first since is it clipless but after a few tries I figured it out. You can have beach waves or spirals but not the traditional curl. I'm extremely happy with this product! I always get compliments and it doesn't take that long to curl (I have long hair).

Key to long lasting curls May 10, 2011

This curling iron is beyond what I expected! It's easy to use and I have very thin hair! My hair stylist can't even get curls to last on me! I used the smallest barrel to curl my hair without any hair spray And the curls lasted 3 days! I could believe it! It was so easy to do too! My whole head curled in 15 minutes! So happy!!!

This is like a magic wand to me!! I can turn my super straight and fine hair to one with loads of volume and curls!! I doubted about this iron at the beginning though... cos every time I tried curling my hair, I gotta go though loads of problems and difficulty.. and every time I finished curling one side of my hair and planned to move on to work on the leftover side... the previously completed side would turn flat straight no matter how much hairspray I used to fix that particular section... HOWEVER, it was DIFFERENT with the amika iron! Much easier than using those clip-on irons, I can get my curls easier and faster as well as fixing it so that it is more long lasting! Great & innovative styling iron this is!!
